The Vermont Climate Assessment is the first comprehensive report in the nation to be released focusing on state-specific climate data and projections. The project focuses on changes in Vermont's climate and the impacts these changes have on our state economy and the Vermont way of life. Mirroring the National Climate Assessment, recently released by the White House, topics include forestry, agriculture, community development, water resources, recreation/tourism and energy.Developed at the University of Vermont through the leadership of the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics, the Vermont Climate Assessment was made possible by the contributions from stakeholders including state agencies, Vermont farms and businesses, local NGOs and the National Weather Service.
