Robert L. Walsh, educator and author, speaks with RETN's Scott Campitelli about the newly created non-profit corporation Vermont African American History Project, Inc. (VAAHP). Walsh talks about the history of race in Vermont and about his book "Through White Eyes: Color and Racism in Vermont." The purpose of VAAHP is to encourage Vermont teachers to include African American history in the curriculum. VAAHP also plans to offer tuition assistance to teachers who take college level courses in African American history and to offer workshops for elementary and secondary school teacher in-service programs.
