This film is provocative in that it challenges ingrained perceptions about nuclear energy. As a continuation from this and to serve as an interesting forum for discussion, a professional panel was organized to wrestle nuclear ideologies from both sides of the issue. The panel featured five diverse experts related to issues of nuclear power and sustainable energy systems. The panel served to continue the discussion from the film and weigh the different arguments in an academic setting. This unique event was a way to engage UVM and the public community around film-making and an ecological economic assessment of nuclear energy. It was a very successful night, with over 90 people in attendance, and a dynamic Q&A session after the screening.
