Host Doug Webster speaks with Teacher Maker Christine Braun, educator and maker extraordinaire. She has taught all levels of students ranging from preschool through college. Most recently, she has been working with her husband Kevin Braun teaching our STEAM based curriculum through our company Robots for Kids Too.  She is the lead instructor and have been teaching classes in robotics and technology to K-12 students throughout Vermont since 2013.  She also coaches robotics teams for FLL and FTC, MATE and Champ-bot competitions.  Her team won the first ever Champ-bot challenge at the Champlain Maker Faire in 2014.  R4K2 has run classes in thirteen schools and libraries throughout Vermont.  The classes are well known to supply the children with a great hands on approach to robotics.  Additionally, she has taught classes in game design, 3D printing, robotics, E-textiles and many others.  Along with developing the curriculum for Robots for Kids Too, Christine is working with the Innovation Lab at UVM to create a low cost robotic platform for use in schools.
