Frank Bryant discusses the early Vermont period and its use of the town meeting. People were trying to get out of Vermont soon after 1820 but then after the 1950s, people began to move back in. He feels the best paradigm to explain Vermont present day success is that VT skipped the industrial revolution and jumped ahead to the technology revolution. Yet there are basic core values that seem to have persisted since the 1777 Vermont Constitution and how it has been used for the past 225 years.
