Ulice Acosta Lanes received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Havana. He worked for several years as a plant biologist focused on varietal improvements at the National Tropical Agriculture Research Institute. He later worked for a State agency charged with conservation and development of the Bay of Havana. He currently works for the Office of the City Historian in

Havana as a Specialist in Environmental Management and International Cooperation for the Patrimony, Community and Environment Program. Today he’ll be sharing with us some of the environmental challenges the city faces and actions his office is taking to address these issues.
