Peter Burns has been a professional storyteller for more than 30 years. His work has been featured on National Public Radio and New Hampshire Public Radio. A recipient of numerous awards including two fellowships from the Vermont Arts Council, his style has been described as quirky and engaging. Peter also works in a group home for people with psychiatric disabilities and does programs for VSA Vermont and the Vermont Humanities Council.

The Burlington Writers Workshop presents the second annual It Happened One December: Stories By the Fire storytelling event. Cozy up by the fire for first person stories told live in the fireside tradition in the lobby of Hotel Vermont. This is a partnership with Hotel Vermont, Burlington Writers Workshop, and RETN.
