This 1968 horror classic was an amazing accomplishment for first time feature director George Romero and has become the benchmark of all Zombie films. What starts out as a routine visit to a graveyard to place flowers at the grave site of a loved one, turns into a nightmarish struggle as a young woman witnesses her brother being killed by a zombie who then tries to tear her apart. The intensity rises to a higher level as a group of flesh eating zombies, searching for humans to devour, trap a group of people in an abandoned house and proceed to break in and cannibalize the occupants.
