On Wednesday, May 2nd, sixth grade students from Charlotte Central School spoke live with NASA astronauts Scott Tingle and Drew Feustel. Students asked the pair questions about life in space and experiments the astronauts are currently conducting. RETN offered technical support to make the uplink with NASA possible.

During the spring, the Charlotte sixth graders worked on an interdisciplinary ISS unit in social studies and science. They conducted their own research projects on some of the actual science experiments currently underway at the space station. The students also worked with RETN’s education and production teams to create short videos about their research and experience talking with the astronauts.
