The Green Mountain Mahler Festival, in conjunction with the USCRI/Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program in partnership with the Vermont Somali Community, will present a performance of the Brahms German Requiem at 4:30 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester. Conducted by Daniel Bruce with chorusmaster Richard Riley, the performance will feature soprano Sarah Cullins and baritone Geoffrey Penar as well as the Bread and Puppet Theater and Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater. The performance is cosponsored by the Burlington Civic Symphony and the Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra. Proceeds benefit famine relief efforts in Africa and USCRI/VRRP.
