Author and columnist Charles Pierce gives a talk on Alzheimer's Disease and his recent book entitled "Hard to Forget: An Alzheimer's Story." In the book, he intertwines two stories - the scientific race to discover the causes of Alzheimer's and the experiences of the Pierce family as they struggle with the disease. The book is about the author's quest to learn all he can about Alzheimer's when his father is diagnosed with the disease, but it is also the story of how the Pierce family coped with Alzheimer's and with the threat that the author and his children might inherit it.
