Forgotten Founder: The Life and Times of Moses Robinson (1741-1813), Vermont Pioneer, Revolutionary

Few of Vermont's early founders were more important to the formation of the state than was Moses Robinson, yet his remarkable contributions are almost entirely forgotten. An early leader of the Green Mountain Boys in their guerrilla revolt against New York, Robinson became a militia colonel and member of the Council of Safety. Moses Robinson was the second Governor of the Vermont Republic, both preceded and succeeded by Thomas Chittenden.
