Former Ambassador to Croatia and long-time U.S. diplomat with particular expertise on Iraq, Peter Galbraith offers his views on the current war and considers options available for U.S. policy in the region. Galbraith argues that Iraq is now irrevocably split into factions, and that perhaps the best and only course is to "facilitate an amicable divorce" between the fractious sections. Peter Galbraith has held senior positions in the United States government and with the United Nations. He is currently a Professor at the National War College in Washington, D.C. and author of "The End of Iraq: How American Incompetence Created a War Without End."
