In Celebration of Burlington Poets

“Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996, National Poetry Month, held every April, is the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrating poetry’s vital place in our culture.”

In cooperation with poet and UVM Professor of English, Major Jackson and poet Florence McCloud, the Fletcher Free Library celebrates Burlington’s vibrant poetry community with a poetry reading marathon, an extravaganza of Burlington poets with 27 poets confirmed to take the stage!
