The history of many countries often includes the suppression of native cultures. Julia Leonard and Kevin Kukla went to New Zealand on a study abroad program and part of their education focused on the culture of the native Maori people. The filmmakers introduce viewers to the Maori in their native land but also tell the story of a visit  and special gift to Champlain College.
Champlain Presents is a series of mini-documentaries made by Champlain College students in the Broadcast and Media Production program. Over the course of the semester, students visit the Media Factory to pitch their projects, share work-in-progress with RETN Executive Director Jess Wilson and receive feedback.
Produced by Keith Oppenheim.
