Art, Identity, and Community Cohesion: Public Folklore and Refugee Arts in Vermont

For the past four years the Vermont Folklife Center (VFC) has focused its research program on ethnographic fieldwork documenting the cultures and experience of people recently resettled in Vermont as refugees. During this period the VFC has conducted numerous interviews and participated in formal and informal social gatherings, building ongoing relationships while creating a rich documentary record.
