Horror movies are more than just a good scare. Many horror films are reflections of the filmmaker's concerns about the environment, the political climate, societal norms and expectations, and family dynamics. This summer, RETN launches a new late-night series to highlight the horror movie genre. The Haunting Hour will feature vintage and independent horror films every Friday night at 11pm, starting appropriately on Friday the 13th

The Haunting Hours graphic elements were created by Naomi Adu-Damoah, who joined RETN this spring for a graphic design job shadow with Community Engagement Manager, Gin Ferrara (Ferrara (l) and Adu-Damoah (r) in photo at right). Naomi is a recent graduate of Burlington High School (class of 2018), as part of her graphic design job shadow with RETN this spring. She used a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create her image, which is inspired by classic horror movie posters. Naomi will be studying graphic design at Champlain College this fall -- to see more of her work, follow her Instagram account: @bruhades.
