Why Support RETN?

Donations from community members allow us to expand our services and continue programs that have proven valuable to students, teachers, parents, and others in our area and beyond. RETN thrives through the support of cable suscribers in the communities we serve and the ongoing support of our local cable operators—Comcast and Burlington Telecom. Whether it's making a tax-deductible donation, underwriting production or volunteering your time, we appreciate your support of our educational community media work in Vermont.

Past contributions made a variety of initiatives possible, including production and journalism work with local high school students, music productions with elementary school students, video production training projects in the community, and delivery of national and international news and cultural television programs.

Please consider a 100% tax deductible contribution to RETN.

There are many reasons to give to RETN. But here's the biggest reason of all: because we rely upon support from individuals like you, and thus your contribution will make a large and lasting difference.

Production underwriting opportunities with RETN offer the business community unique ways to reach an engaged and informed audience. RETN's three channels reach 37,000 homes in northwestern Vermont. An estimated 40% of cable subscribers view our channels. While RETN strives to expand local video production on a wide range of topics and relevant concerns in our community, production is the most expensive work in the television business. Every year there are underwriting opportunities when companies or individuals provide funding to allow RETN and its combination of professional and student crew to produce shows that are not available anywhere else.

For more information on our production underwriting opportunities, contact Doug Dunbebin at (802) 654-7980, ext 24, or email

We have several volunteer and intern opportunities at RETN. Whether your interest is administrative, production, or facilities, we have a volunteer option that can work for you and us. RETN succeeds by engaging local residents, so we hope you will contact us and find a way to become a part of the RETN community. If you're a student of any age interested in an internship, more information can be found on our internships page.
