Alan Greenleaf performs and discusses his original music which is inspired by life on his Northern Vermont farm, and by the people and countryside around him. His work pays respect to the stories of rural Vermont and it carves out a place for music from rural New England in the world of American music. His music, which can be characterized as part of the “Americana” genre, draws on folk, country, bluegrass, pop, and jazz traditions. This is both a concert and a reflection on rural life in contemporary Vermont.
