In this presentation Randolph Roth gives an overview of homicide in Vermont and New Hampshire from 1630 to the present. He discusses homicide trends and the patterns of particular homicides (including spouse murder, feud murder, and child murder) over time. He also discusses reasons why northern New England has been among the least homicidal regions in the US for three centuries, even though our nation is by far the most homicidal of all advanced industrial nations.
