Program Description:
Information evaluation may be the most important concept that we’re responsible for teaching. Yet once our mini-lessons are done, students abandon our rules and checklists. Frankly, they don’t believe that Wikipedia is untrustworthy. Who has authority when everyone is an author? Can technology help us judge the credibility of Web 2.0 sources? Let’s investigate the nature of trust, expertise and authority and figure out how to develop shrewd, skeptical learners in school and for “real.”
