Vermont suffered an estimated 84 deaths and $30m in property damage from the 1927 flood. The coupie, historians Deborah and Nicholas Clifford, are collaborating on a book to document this event and trying to separate the facts from myths. In this presentation they are reporting on their progress as well as making a plea for more information. Their approach has been to look at outside views of Vermon as well as the Vermont views of the the tragedy that befell them
