Program Description:
Preparing children to meet the challenges of the 21st century is central to the mission of today's schools. However, current discussion about education is characterized by politically expedient proposals for more testing and greater accountability. Those who care about our children's future know that these limited measures are more backward than forward looking. This program is a blueprint for K - 12 education that envisions a more sustainable, equitable and hopeful future. Featuring an in-depth interview with Riane Eisler, author of the book "Tomorrow's Children," this program also includes the work of Sarah Pirtle, educator and partnership consultant, and educators from Nova High, a public charter school in Seattle that has piloted the use of partnership curriculum.
