Program Description:
Under the leadership of Dr. Karen Birch, the Connecticut College of Technology has received more than $12 million over the past 8 years from the National Science Foundation to re-establish STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and Manufacturing education within Connecticut's Community College and high school system. A big part of building the education program has been to change how youth and parents perceive technology education. Dr. Birch will tell share strategies that encourage youth to enter STEM related fields.
