Program Description:
What is Romanticism in music? By definition, the term best applies to "work in which fantasy and imagination are in their own right more important than classical features such as balance, restraint, and good taste." Composers of the Romantic era (1805-1910) focused their attention on a more overt and free expression of emotional and expressive extremes.
