Program Description:
Many positive steps have been taken by the Burlington School District in the past year to address the issue of bullying and harassment among students. School prevention programs such as Reading to End Racism, Responsive Classroom, and A World of Difference are profiled as successful models for the creation of a respectful, safe environment for students to learn in. Participants include: Clief Tom Trembley, Burlington Police Dept., Melissa Hathaway, Edmunds Elementary School Guidance Counselor, Laurie Carruth, C.P. Smith Principal, Sally Hayes, C.P. Smith 4th Grade Teacher, Margo Austin, BHS Prevention Coordinator.
