Opera expert Toni Hill presents highlights from a small selection of well-loved operas in different eras, with brief summaries of the historical background and musical conventions they represent. As an overview of the development of opera in the western tradition, the presentation concludes with a selection from operas to be simulcast in our area this coming autumn.
