Program Description:
From the beginning of time Indigenous people have always known the names of places on the land. The French, English, and Dutch changed the names and words but the ancient Abenaki language names are still there to discern. Jeanne Brink takes us on a journey up Lake Champlain, following Samuel de Champlain's trail, and shares Abenaki language and pronunciation of many familiar places.
