Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) - composer, performer, violinist, and bandleader - blends classical music, hip-hop, and rock into a compelling sonic vision. His nine-piece band features an amplified string quartet, drum kit, keyboards, vocalist, DJ, and laptopist in music that marries the concert and club scenes. Known as the music director of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, as well as a collaborator of Philip Glass, DBR was profiled recently by CBS Sunday Morning and National Public Radio and is making waves as an innovative educator and performer.
