Program Description:

Major Jackson is the author of two collections of poetry, "Hoops" and "Leaving Saturn," winner of the 2000 Cave Canem Poetry Prize and a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. His poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Boulevard, Callaloo, Post Road, The New Yorker and many other journals. He teaches at the University of Vermont.
