In the Land of the Wild Onion: Life Along the Winooski River is a book-length inquiry into the life of one of Vermont's biggest rivers. Charles Fish, the author, reports about the river and its valley through the eyes of many of those who live along side and love the river. There is a complexity of land forms and a variety of life forms. Those people that he interviewed for the book share their perspectives and help to enrich the life along the Winooski.
