Program Description:
The controversy about results from the Women's Health Initiative studies continues raising questions regarding the merits of hormone replacement therapy. Hear a basic review of the pros and cons of this menopause treatment, including guidelines recommended by the Food and Drug Administration. Common menopausal symptoms and alternatives to hormone therapy are also discussed. Presented by Julia Johnson, M.D., UVM Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and FAHC Gynecologist.
