Program Description:
Examine the role of genes, where they come from, what they do and how they do it. Explore the role of genes in disease through an examination of how genes cause an inherited disease like cystic fibrosis. Gain an understanding of how genes contribute to a disease that arises during one's lifetime, such as cancer, and what research is being pursued for addressing gene defects in cancer and other diseases.
