Program Description:
This moving tale of a young woman's attempt to find her place in the world after her release from a Taiwanese prison explores the depths of depression and the universal yearning for love. Alone upon her release, the protagonist Yu finds respite in a friend who runs a brothel and takes her in. What unfolds is an emotionally intense story heartened by the enduring support of companionship when Yu's life seems to spiral out of control. This beautiful, compelling film filled with highs and lows, comes together at the end on a sweet plateau.
