Program Description:
Surgery is the oldest method of breast cancer treatment, and the vast majority of people diagnosed with breast cancer undergo some form of surgery in their management. There have been several recent advances in breast cancer surgery, that have reduced complications and made surgery safer and more effective. In this session, Ted James reviews these advances and also discusses new and evolving techniques in the surgical management of breast cancer. Topics include new approaches to sentinel lymph node biopsy, percutaneous tumor ablation, oncoplastic breast cancer surgery, and more.
